O...Try electing a different Welsh government then. Or leave? That's the real beauty of devolution-for-all: being able to shop around for the best place to live. We don't even have the choice: it's all the same from Berwick to the Isles of Scilly.David Robinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15771605556010025142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-339546647139712487.post-84241333902147487652012-10-31T13:21:06.098-07:002012-10-31T13:21:06.098-07:00Here in Wales the per capita cost of the NHS is 20...Here in Wales the per capita cost of the NHS is 20% higher than England but waiting list for even elementary operations are 3 times longer on average - the Welsh Assembly's aim is for a maximum of 18 month wait as opposed to 6 months in England. And, don't forget, the NHS in Wales, like everything in Wales is subsidised by English taxpayers.

So don't expect anyone who, you know, actually lives in Wales and uses the NHS here not to snort tea out of their nose when you sing the praises of devolution with regards to state healthcare.

BTW - have you tried getting a quote for private healthcare? I just did - £800.00 a year for comprehensive cover as opposed to the £2500.00 per year per capita spend for the NHS in Wales (only £2000 a year for you in England).

Makes you think, eh?Mr Ballistahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07555726545137232408noreply@blogger.com
